a few observations about "john wick 3: parabellum"
- the most "teal and orange" movie i've ever seen
- more dumb CGI than the previous films
- felt repetitive in a way that the other ones didn't. maybe because of all the teal and orange and dumb CGI? i mean seriously. i feel like the others had this really invigorating variety of locations and colors and characters. but this one just almost felt... safe?
- still has a lot of great moments. like that library scene. fucking riotous
- lots of fun mythmaking, and good turns by keanu and the gang, as usual. mark dacascos was wonderful and made every single one of his lines count.
- ultraviolent, but still doesn't feel fascistic to me, the way films like this often do. maybe because it's constantly asking the question of... well... what's the point? which is a very good question to ask of any endeavor
